Milwaukee has announced a new M18 Fuel 17″ dual battery string trimmer to come out soon. They say it’s the most powerful string trimmer. Let’s check it out below.

Milwaukee M18 FUEL 17″ Dual Battery String Trimmer – Features
Milwaukee already has multiple solid M18 string trimmer options so it almost seems strange for them to come out with another. However it’s good that they did as this is their most powerful model yet. They even boldly go on to claim that they disrupt the industry with the most powerful string trimmer.
This model has a large 17 inch cutting swath. It uses dual line and can accommodate up to 0.105″. You can also use smaller 0.080″ and 0.095″ line as well if you have those on hand but this model has the power to go large.
It’s able to get better specs and performance thanks to its ability to use two batteries together to provide as James Pumphrey would say: “Mo powa baby! This allows this string trimmer to provide up to 2.5 NM of torque and 2.4 HP while also being able to maintain RPM in the most demanding applications according to Milwaukee. They even go on to say that this model has performance that exceeds both 35cc gas powered and higher voltage battery-operated alternatives. This string trimmer is said to be able to reach full throttle in under a second.
Like previous models, this also is a two speed trimmer as shown by the tortoise and hare symbols above. You still are available to fine tune the speed within each mode thanks to a variable speed trigger.
The head is an easy load head with bump feed system. A rear string guard is included however we all know the professionals will be removing it.
