Milwaukee M18 Brushless Telescoping Pole Pruning Shears – Features

Milwaukee M18 Brushless Telescoping Pole Pruning Shears

A pole pruner is one of those highly valuable tools in your arsenal for tree maintenance. The pole gives you added reach so you can reach higher without a ladder. While the majority of pole pruners are powered by elbow grease, Milwaukee’s pole pruning shears model is completely motorized so you work smarter not harder.

Milwaukee M18 Brushless Telescoping Pole Pruning Shears

It operates in practice similarly to their M12 pruning shears with a couple of key differences. This operates on higher voltage M18 batteries and a telescoping pole is built into the tool for added reach. It telescopes from 7 to 10 feet which is shorter in length than many other pole pruners.

Instead of pulling on string, you pull a trigger and the motor takes care of the rest with up to 3x faster speed of cut over manual options. It also has a larger cut capacity for up to 1-3/4″ branch diameter.

Weight comes in at 12 lbs tool only and 14.3 lbs with a 6ah battery, which is several pounds more than a manual powered model, however it being motorized makes it easier to use. A shoulder strap is included to help with the weight.

Milwaukee states this pruning shear can make up to 2,000 cuts per charge in 1 inch branches when paired with a XC6.0 ah battery.
