Like many power tool brands, Makita has battery powered heated gear such as jackets. Now they are introducing a new heated vest powered by their popular 18V batteries. While not as compact as 12V batteries, 18V batteries do provide more runtime on average. You can get up to 35 hours of heat with a 6.0ah battery on low.

Featuring 3 heat settings and 4 pockets and the battery holder doubles as a USB power source to charge your phone on the go.

Makita 40V max XGT Brushless 4-1/2” / 6″ Paddle Switch Angle Grinder, with Electric Brake GAG14

Makita has been busy quickly filling in their 40V cordless power tool lineup. Here they introduce a new 40V brushless angle grinder. It is said to have performance similar to a 15 amp corded grinder. It’s a “compact” body grinder designed to fit 4.5 to 6 inch wheels. Brushless motor means it has the power to grind and up to 30% faster cutting speed than their previous models according to Makita.

It has a paddle switch and electric brake for safety. As well as AFT active feedback-sensing technology stops the motor if it detects the wheel is jammed. It also has anti-start protection to prevent it from starting if a battery is inserted with the trigger on. Also features a soft start for smooth starts.

Makita 40V max XGT® Brushless 4-Gallon Backpack Mist Blower GMP01

Here’s another new tool to their 40V lineup, the brushless 4 gallon backpack mist blower. Makita says it’s brushless motor delivers performance similar to a 63cc gas mist blower. This mist blower is useful for spraying insecticides, fungicides and fertilizers and can spray up to 46 feet.

It uses a two battery bay for double the runtime. A variable speed trigger to select between 261-505 CFM for power and run time management. Being battery powered, you wont have to deal with the hassle of gas such as fumes, pull starts, engine maintenance, consumables like gas and oil, etc.

Mixers are necessary tools if your work involves mixing drywall mud, thinset, or similar mixes. A battery powered option removes much of the hassle of dealing with cords and allows you to work even if there’s no power in the building.

This here is another 18V brushless barrel grip jig saw from Makita. This one isn’t as expensive as their other model while still offering a brushless motor and barrel grip design. It just features more plastic fantastic. Features include a five speed control dial for 800-3,000 SPM and 3 orbital settings plus off. The locking bevel base can adjust from 0°- 45° left or right and also features and LED light to illuminate the cut line. It can cut up to 135 ft of 1″ MDF when used with a 5.0ah battery.
